Walter Tillman, Jr.

Walter Evans Tillman, Jr., 85, went to be with the Lord on September 15, 2020. He was born in Tampa, Florida to parents Leala (Dampier) and Walter Evans Tillman, Sr. on May 6, 1935.

Walter enjoyed woodworking, whether it be on interior cabinetry or the creation of a sailboat. He built and piloted remote controlled (RC) planes and was an avid sportsman. Walter was an especially skilled marksman. He served his country in the Navy and later the Army Reserves, where he would retire as a MSGT (30+ years).

Walter is survived by his son, Ernie (Lori) Tillman; daughter, Kathy (Richard) Sergent; brother, Roger (Gloria) Tillman; sister, Barbara (Laurie) Murto; and grandchildren Michael Sell, Mary Beth Tillman, and David Tillman. He is preceded in death by sister Margaret (William) Townsend, and his beloved wife Gwendolyn Louise Tillman (May 14, 2019).  Walter will be greatly missed and was loved by all who knew him.
