Robert Mcdowal Iii

Robert Thomas (Tom) McDowal, III, 78, passed away on Sunday, November 14, 2021, in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Tom was born in Ennis, Texas, on October 12, 1943, to parents Robert Thomas, Jr. and Minnie (Marshall) McDowal. He grew up in Ennis and graduated from Ennis High School. He was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church.

He proudly served his country in the Air Force and later in the Navy. He liked traveling and seeing new places. In the past ten years, he settled in Rockport, Texas, then Aransas Pass and Corpus Christi. He liked the coastal towns where he could see boats come in and watch the many species of birds that lived in the area.

Tom worked for many years in the food industry. He liked working with people and considered many of them like family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Thomas, Jr. and Minnie (Marshall) McDowal; and grandparents, Robert T., Sr. and Dee McDowal, William and Corrie Marshall.

He is survived by his sister, Elizabeth Johnson, a niece and her husband, Laina and Robert Dillman, all of Panama City Beach, Fl; and great nieces, Devin Dillman of Whitewright, TX, Caitlyn Dillman of Fayetteville, AR.

Internment will be at Myrtle Cemetery in Ennis, TX. Services have not been scheduled at this time.
