Ricky Littleton

December 21, 1955 — September 17, 2021

Rockport

Ricky L. Littleton, 65, of Rockport, TX passed away in the loving arms of his Lord and Savior, on Friday, September 17, 2021. He will be dearly missed, but as our God promises, we will meet again.

Ricky was born on December 21, 1955 in Houston, TX to Rexford A. Littleton and Wilma M. Littleton. He lived in Houston until moving to Fulton in 1970 and then attended school in Rockport-Fulton until graduating in 1974. He had many high school friends, that have been wonderful friends throughout the years. They enjoyed getting together and talking about old times. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and uncle.

In 1975, Ricky met the love of his life, Debra King and married her on July 29, 1978. They began their life together and continued living in Fulton and Rockport. They had two wonderful sons, who made him a very proud dad. The sons then married and gave him two beautiful “daughters” along with 4 precious grandchildren.

He went to work for the Texas Department of Transportation, where he worked for 3 years. He then tried his hand as a mechanic for Anders Auto, but returned to the Texas Department of Transportation where he finished out his career, retiring as Maintenance Section Supervisor III with 33 years on August 31, 2014. During his time employed by the State he received many certificates and awards. One he was very proud of was District Truck Roadeo Runner-Up 1997 when he received a trophy and a jacket.

In February of 2020 he accomplished one of his lifelong dreams, which was a classic car all redone. He purchased a 1967 Chevelle Malibu that he was so very proud of. He entered every car show he came across and won first place and best in show in classes he entered. He didn’t want to build one, just drive it, and boy did he love driving it. He also loved washing and polishing it to a beautiful shine.

He enjoyed life, especially after his retirement, when he was able to do what he wanted to do and when he wanted to do it. He loved keeping his vehicles clean and could be found washing and waxing them every time they were dirty. He loved to just take drives around town. He loved to travel and had taken several trips to Colorado and to Tennessee to Loretta Lynn’s Ranch where he enjoyed watching his grandson race dirt bikes. Some of the best times he had were at the NHRA races in Houston that he would attend each year with his son and friends. His fondest memories were going camping with family, grandkids and friends each year at the Frio River. He loved being around and joking with our boy’s high school friends, and correcting them if he had to. He just loved being around family and friends as much as possible.

Ricky was preceded in death by his dad, Rexford A Littleton, Sr. and his brother, Rexford A Littleton, Jr.

He is survived by his wife Debra of 43 years; mother, Wilma M. Littleton; sisters, Kathleen (Jon) Siemsglusz and Connie McWilliams; sons, Heath (Danielle) Littleton and Zeph (Ashley) Littleton. Four grandchildren, Teighlor Littleton, Hoss Littleton, Zeph Littleton, Jr. and Wyatt Littleton. Nephews, Mark Garcia, Jimmy D Anders, Jeramie (Amber) Zelenka, and Dillon Littleton. Nieces, Stephanie Anders Garcia, Christine Loya, Daphne (J.R.) Kirchharr, Sabrina Anders Herrera, and numerous great nieces and nephews. He loved all of them very much.

Honored to serve as pallbearers – Danny Cox, Rickey McLester, Kenneth Peters, Anthony Farmer, John Jacobs, Mike Olner, Jeramie Zelenka, and Dillon Littleton.
