Ingleside

Rebecca Leigh Roark, loving wife and the mother of two children, passed away on June 24, 2020 at the age of 70.  She lived in Ingleside on the Bay, TX.

Becky was born on March 28, 1950 to Thomas and Goldia Tierney.  She attended the University of Houston and majored in Journalism.  She was employed by Vision Resources, Inc., in Houston as an Oil and Gas accountant for over 30 years.  She retired in June of 2019.

Becky’s greatest of happiness in life was her family and friends.  She was a devoted wife, mother, and friend to all who knew her.   She was also a dedicated volunteer and gave of herself unselfishly in service to her neighborhood and community.  Becky was especially proud of her work as a Guardian Ad Litem for CASA of the Coastal Bend, foster and advocate for Pughearts of Houston, volunteer for the SPCA-Aransas Pass, Scoutmaster with the Boy Scouts of America, and her work for the Ingleside on the Bay community.

Becky is survived by husband, Richard; sons, Terry Noe Kaminski of Houston and Thomas Keith Roark of Ingleside on the Bay; daughter-in-law Shelby Kaminski; granddaughters, Lauren Wylde Kaminski, and Alyssa JoLeigh Kaminski, also of Houston.  Also surviving her are sisters, Pat LeBlanc, Barbara Cooke, Sarah Jenkins, and brother Stephen Tierney.

Becky was a warm, gracious and loving spirit who had a high sense of duty to others, and filled our home with life and joy.   She touched countless lives with her love, kindness, and humor. She will be missed by all, especially her pugs.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 4th at the Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in Aransas Pass, TX at 2:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers the family respectfully request that donations be made to Texas CASA – Coastal Bend.
