Rebecca Maloney

Rebecca passed away January 21, 2020. She was born on July 7, 1990 in Aransas Pass, Texas to Arah Verlene Maloney (Edgell) and Rex Windel Maloney of Port Aransas, TX. She was 29 years old.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

She was a loving mother to three children: a son Evan (10); and two daughters, Alexis (6) and Lucy (3). She also leaves behind her high school sweetheart and the father of her children, Smith Paul Jester, aka PJ; her identical twin-sister, Rachel Maloney, a sister Amanda Maloney, a brother and three paternal sisters along with countless other family and friends.

Rebecca was raised on the island of Port Aransas and graduated from Rockport High School in 2008 where she resided until her death. She had various jobs in her young life but was known as a stay at home mother. She was a sensitive and caring young women who had suffered great loss and trauma in her young years. It was a darkness that led to an addiction that she bravely battled with. I ask that you remember her as the doting mother, goofy sister, loyal friend, and loving girlfriend that she was. She no longer has pain in her heart or mind and can rest easy knowing her children will be in the care of family who along with friends will cherish her memory and seek justice from this unbelievable tragedy.

Rebecca will be cremated, and a Memorial Gathering will be held in her honor on the Port Aransas beach, between Horace Caldwell Pier and the Jetty on Sunday, February 2, 2020; like her parents before her. All are welcome. Further specifics will be announced via social media.

Rebecca Anne Maloney was found the evening of January 21, 2020, her body discarded in a toolbox. Her death has been ruled a homicide and was the result of a gunshot wound to the head.
