Peggy Yeager passed away at home on November 16, 2020.  She was born on October 22, 1934 on the family farm in Comanche County near Gustine, Texas to Jewel and Chester Allen.  Peggy married Ronnie Yeager on December 28, 1964 at Board Church and they enjoyed 55 wonderful years together and raised four children.  Peggy is survived by her loving husband, Ronnie, and her daughters, Kathy Yeager Roach, Teresa Yeager Hudson (Jerry), and Celeste Yeager; her eight grandchildren Erin Hornsby (John), Amber Fyffe (Justin), Greg Roach, Natalie Roach, Slade Hudson, Autum Yeager, Meredith Winford, and Matthew Winford; and four greatgrandchildren,  Jazzlyn Morales, Rebecca Taft, Kiley Roach and Liam Roach.  Peggy is preceded in death by her son, Ronnie, Jr., and her siblings, Ann, Chuck and Zoel.

She will always be remembered for the dedication she had to her family and the service she gave to others.  Peggy worked for many years at the San Patricio County Tax Assessor Collector’s office in Aransas Pass.  Peggy was a member of the Aransas Pass Women’s Club where she served as President and enjoyed many years with friends.  Peggy was an Honorary Rotarian as she accompanied Ronnie to his weekly meetings.  Peggy was a member of First Baptist Church where she was in the choir, served as a children’s Sunday School teacher and helped in the Nursery.  Peggy loved to travel with Ronnie; they cruised to Alaska, Australia and through the Panama Canal.  When at home, Peggy loved to feed and watch the birds and squirrels in her back yard.

A public visitation will be held Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home Chapel from 2pm to 8pm, with some family members present from 6pm-8pm.  A private funeral service, family only due to COVID, will be held on Thursday, November 19, 2020 at 10am at First Baptist Church in Aransas Pass.  Interment will follow at Prairie View Cemetery.

Serving as pall bearers are:  Greg Roach, John Hornsby, Justin Fyffe, Slade Hudson, Matthew Winford, and Kevin Mills.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to either First Baptist Church of Aransas Pass or South Texas Children’s Home, Pettus, Texas, or to your favorite charity.
