Patricia Lister

Patricia Lyttle Lister, 88, Passed away on April 1, 2021. She was born on October 4, 1932 in New York to parents Isabel and George Coykendall.

Pat met her husband Joe while they were attending the University of Texas in Austin. They moved to Rockport on July 3, 1970 just 1 month before hurricane Celia, to own and run the Sea Gull Motel.  They were married for 57 years before he passed in 2011. Through their younger years they were involved in multiple church activities with the First United Methodist church of Rockport, including the choir and youth leadership.  They also were both involved in the Rockport Art Association. Pat was one of the “little old ladies in tennis shoes” that had a shop of homemade items that benefited the ACMSI Ambulance Service's. She volunteered for more than 15 years at Castaways. In those years she served as the church chair and was the president of Castaways for multiple years.

She is preceded in death by Joseph W. Lister(husband); Nevy Coykendall(brother).

Survived by her daughter Pamela (Rick) Roe; Grandchildren Marc (Alma) Brock; Nikki (Spencer) Yarnall; Missy (Chris) Pump; Christy (Marty) Garcia. Great grandchildren: Kaidanse Pump, Sebastian Brock, Kayleigh Pump, Cheryl Garcia, Braxton Yarnall, Carter Garcia.   Sister-in-Law Faye (Jay) Reynolds & numerous nieces and nephews.

A “Celebration of Life” will be sometime in June (date pending).  In lieu of flowers, please give to our local Hospice.  The people at Harbor Hospice were my GLUE during this journey.
