Michael Robert Neal Sr.

Michael Robert Neal Sr. was the last of seven children born to Solomon Sampson Neal and Lillie Ann Moore. A mid-wife performed the birth in their house. The town he was born in, Three Sands, Oklahoma, was an oil boom town located on the east/west running county line of Noble and Kay counties. He attended school in Three Sands until the post office was officially closed and the family moved north to Tonkawa where Mike graduated from Tonkawa High School in 1954.

Mike entered the Air Force and went through various training in San Antonio, Texas and Wichita Falls, Texas then was stationed at Eglin AFB, Florida where he married Jane Helen Runnoe. They had 3 children, Michael Robert Neal Jr. 16 December 1957 – 21 September 1960, Jesse Lee Neal (Lisa Ann Manning) and Georgia Shaun Neal.

One of the many occupations Mike had was as a Methodist Minister. He received his degree in Theology from a seminary school in Missouri fulfilling a wish his mother had and presided at many churches around Oklahoma before retiring.

Mike died peacefully in the house he built in Rockport, Texas with his long-time companion Carol Sue Ballew Austin at his side.
