Megan Douglas

d. October 12, 2021

Megan Anne was born in Taft, TX on August 25th, 1978. She was the loving mother of the 2 people she loved and adored more than anything in this world- Miranda Douglas and Hunter Blankenship. She was born to Roger Douglas and Carolyn Nelson. Megan and her father both went to be with our Lord and Savior on the exact same day, 11 years apart…. October 7th……

Megan has 5 brothers- Russ Douglas married to Susan, Dustin Wilson married to Brandy, Marty Wilson married to Cindy, David Wilson married to Kristy and Cody Douglas.

Megan not only loved her own children but was passionate about all kids. She taught school in Sinton for a few years and worked at the CPS office. She had a heart for everyone. She most recently worked at Clear Inspection with Neal Wiley. Neal was an awesome person for her to work with and was very helpful with looking after Hunter many times while she worked in Sinton.

Megan was a single mother for the most part of her motherhood. Once Miranda and Hunter started sports, she was in a whirl wind following them to volleyball and baseball tournaments along with cheerleading sessions mixed in regularly. As many of you know, there was not much that stood in the way of her taking care of them and protecting them.

Megan loved her entire family as diverse as they were. She was blessed to have an extended family, as well. She had so many great friends that were by her side and helped her as often as she would let them. She loved the LORD with all her heart. There is no doubt that her strength throughout her life came from Him.

Megan will be truly missed by not only her 2 loving kids and her family, but also by every life she touched during her 43 years on this earth. We will continue to all move forward taking on every one of life’s new challenges knowing that Megan will be right there beside us, cheering us on from those Heavenly Bleachers… if you listen closely throughout your life, you may even hear an “Oh Snap” getting whispered when something awesome happens to you…

A wise man once said- Smile and the world will smile with you.

Megan’s smile will forever be imprinted on our hearts.
