Mary Clark

March 6, 1940 — November 20, 2021

Aransas Pass

Mary Mozelle Clark, of Aransas Pass Texas, peacefully transitioned from this life into her Heavenly Father’s home at the age of 81 on Saturday, November 20, 2021. She will be remembered as a woman of faith, who loved her family, and whose frank and honest nature will not be forgotten.

Mozelle was born on March 6, 1940 in Tivoli, Texas to Walter Jefferson Lott Sr. and Jewel Weathers Lott. She was raised in Tivoli and Aransas Pass, TX by her mother and step-father Jessie Bryant.  She began attending Macedonia Baptist Church at a young age and was a lifelong member. Her faith was her strength and being baptized and an active member of the church provided her stability throughout her life. She was a proud student of Solomon Coles school in Corpus Christi, TX where she made and maintained lifelong friendships.

Mozelle, or Mema, as she was affectionately known by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, enjoyed gathering with her TOPS group where she was a faithful member for over 40 years, trying her luck at casinos and game rooms, and fishing/crabbing with those close to her.

She is preceded in death by her parents Jesse and Jewel Bryant, biological father Walter Jefferson Lott Sr.; her siblings Walter Lott Jr, Johnny Lott, Owen Lee Lott, Margaret Lott, Jessie Mae Bryant; daughter Josilee Smith and son Calvin Green.

Mary Clark is survived by her children Dianne (Phillip) Brown, Mary Jewel Kegler, Ricky Lee Smith, Jessie (Kim) Green, & Margaret Clark. Her step-sister Tifany (Robert) Seals. Her grandchildren Erica (Roderick) Arevalo, Amber (Mando) Villarreal, Ashly Brown, Megan (Trymaine) Kelley, Alyson (Payton) Lambert, Bryan Clark, Tamika Clark, and James (Makayla Saiz) Clark, and numerous great-grandchildren, and multiple close friends that she loved as family.

Viewing will be held on Friday December 3, 2021 from 9am-9pm with family present from 5pm-8pm. Funeral services will be Saturday December 4, 2021 at 10am, all services will be held at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home 2003 W. Wheeler Avenue, Aransas Pass Texas 78336. Interment will follow at Prairie View Cemetery.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has reached out in multiple ways during this difficult time, and a very special thank you to Willie Mae Crothers, her caregiver until the end. We are saddened that she is no longer here with us but comforted by the knowledge that she is rejoicing in Heaven.
