Marilyn Patteson

Marilyn “Kay” Patteson passed away peacefully at her home on May 8, 2022. Born February 28, 1931 in Gassaway, West Virginia, Kay attended Marshall University and began working at the Pentagon where she met and married an Air Force man: Dudley “Pat” Patteson. This life would take them around the world, retiring from the service, and settling in Rockport. She is preceded in death by her husband of fifty-four years: Dudley “Pat” Patteson. Kay leaves behind Linda Grant (sister): and five children: Joyce (Ray), Karen, Lisa (Mike), Cheryl (Rodney), and Paul (Katie). She also leaves behind seven grandchildren: Brandon (Ryan), Dylan (Kimmy), Ashley, Brittney (Brandon), Courtney (Erik), Jordan, and Brayden, as well as six great-grandchildren. They were the light of her life. Kay was like a mother to many others through the years. She was a long-time member of the First Presbyterian Church, and she was instrumental in Steven Ministries, Whooping Crane Strut, the Youth Support Center, and Castaways. She loved and was loved.

Services will be held on Saturday, May 21 at 2:00 pm at First Presbyterian Church, Rockport TX.
