Rockport

Tuesday, November 8, 2022, Leo known by friends as Levi, sadly passed away at the age of 74 with his family by his side.

A loving son, brother, husband, dad, friend but his most important job was Popo to little Zachary and Sammi Jo.

Born October 31, 1948, in Aransas Pass, Tx to Leopoldo and Maria Villa.

Leo was a busy man wearing many hats in our community. After 49 years of service, Leo retired proudly from Texas Parks and Wildlife. He was also an active member of the Rockport City Council for 20 years, serving as Mayor Pro Team four of those years and served one term on the ACISD school board. Leo was one of the original members of the P.O.D.E.R.

Committee that was created many years ago. Throughout his success, Leo was also known for having a heart of gold and always willing to lend a hand to those in need; whether it be benefits, coaching baseball as he was a member of Rockport Little League, or just lending an ear which often became a lifeline.

Leo carried the love to help others, the most selfless heart, a contagious smile and kind and compassionate spirit to brighten any day.

That is the Leo who will remain in our hearts forever.
