“Hard times create strong men. Strong men create good times…”

-G. Michael Hopf

That was Leonard Randow’s time.

He started out on a small, modest farm, not far from San Marcos, TX. He worked the land with his brothers and sister, as his father and grandfather had done before him.

He joined the U.S. Navy to see the world. He got his wish.

He returned home and married the love of his life Jean Lee Chamberlain.

With her, he raised three amazing people as his children. His son, Marty Randow Sr., and his daughters Bobbie Johnson and Linda Randow.

He served the city of San Antonio as a police officer, K-9 unit member and trainer, and bomb squad member, for 20+ years.

He retired, but he hadn’t had enough.

He would go on to Captain many seaworthy ships out of Port Aransas, TX. He would finish, some 30 years later as a modest offshore fishing charter boat Captain of the “Moody Blues.”

He loved his family deeply, and he left an everlasting legacy for the Randow name.

Calm seas and tight lines Captain!
