Julio Frank Chavez went to be with the Lord on February 10, 2020, he was 71. Julio was born February 27, 1948 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, to parents Fermin and Demitria Chavez.
Julio proudly served and retired from the United States Air Force and went on to later retire from the Civil Service for the U.S. Navy at the Pentagon.
He was a graduate of Rockport Fulton High School and was active in sports, golf and baseball being his favorites, but he loved the Dallas Cowboys. Julio was the financial Secretary with the Knights of Columbus #11420; he was also a devoted member of the St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents Fermin and Demitria Chavez.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife Alifonsa "Alice" Chavez and his sister, Cathy Garza.He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him, his memory will live forever in our hearts.
Mass to be 11:00 a.m.,Thursday March 5, 2020, at St. Mary Star of the Sea in Aransas Pass, Texas. Graveside service to be 2:00 p.m., Friday March 6, 2020, at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery in Corpus Christi, Texas.
