Jerry Louis Schwerdtfeger, 84, of Rockport, Texas passed away on November 28, 2020, in Corpus Christi, Texas. Jerry was born on January 22, 1936, in Enid, Oklahoma.

Jerry dedicated 20 years of his life as a Driller in the Oilfield in the 70s and 80s. Jerry and Mary followed the oil rigs all around the United States. The happy couple finally settled down in Rockport, Texas finishing off his career in the Aransas County ISD. In Jerry’s vacation time, he and Mary enjoyed surf fishing. Jerry had a passion for raising rabbits so that he can enjoy them for dinner when they were ready. If you went to Mary and Jerry’s house, you could always find Jerry watching the Dallas Cowboys while sitting in his big fluffy recliner waiting for all of his loved ones to visit.

Jerry was always a giver, never a taker, and was always ready to give the shirt off of his back to anyone that needed it. Jerry never stop giving—even to the end.

Jerry is preceded in death by his loving wife of 42 years Mary Schwerdtfeger, Father: Louis Schwerdtfeger, Mother: Josephine Upp, step-father: Jesse Upp, and sister: Janie Carreker.
