Jeanne Presnall

Jeanne Goss Petty Presnall, 86 of Lakehills, Texas passed away peacefully on February 8, 2021 in Portland, Texas.

Jeanne was born on August 5, 1934 to Louis Goss and Beatrice Goss Butler Ulbrich in Nixon, Texas. Her formative years were spent there and several towns in central Texas. She graduated from Del Rio High School where she met Albert M. Petty.  They were married and had two daughters, Cherryl Petty Wagner and Shannon Petty Windland.

When Jeanne became a mother, she decided to dedicate her life to being a fantastic nurturing mother. Jeanne excelled at propping up members of her immediate and extended family. She supported them through the many passions and difficulties of their lives. Jeanne made it her mission to improve the lives of others. She was always there for anyone who asked for or needed help. Her door was always open.

Jeanne worked at a tax office in Del Rio. She was mostly self-taught by attending seminars and workshops. She applied for and passed the test to become an Enrolled Agent for the IRS. Jeanne opened her own business, Guardian Tax and Accounting Service, where she considered her clients to be her family. She looked after their finances as she looked after her children, always wanting the best for them.

Jeanne was predeceased by her mother and father.

She is survived by her two daughters, her first husband, one sister Margie Bannon, two granddaughters Amanda Backman and Jennifer McPhail, and one great granddaughter Anna Backman. We will miss her greatly.
