Donald Durante Jr.

Durante, Donald L. Jr, 64, a resident of Rockport, TX, went home to his Lord on Friday, February 5, 2021. Survived by his loving Wife, Linda,  of 39 years, daughter and son in law, Andrea and Dohe and their 4 children, LaVinniea, Loctavio, Maddison and Journey, of San Antonio, as well as step children and grandchildren in various parts of the country, Sister; Diana Baird, Dawn Durante-McKay, Brothers; Dennis Durante, Dan Durante, and Dorian Durante.

He is preceded in death by his parents  Don Sr and Dorothy Durante of Peralta, NM.
Originally from Point Pleasant, NJ, Don lived in several states, but primarily in New Mexico and Texas.
After serving in the Navy for a time, Don earned a degree in computer technology and worked as a repairman for Xerox, for 11 years. Ultimately deciding to pursue his passion for photography full time, he sold much of his work online.
Don Jr loved his family,  fishing, music (he was a skilled air-guitar and air-drummer), photography and the ocean. But he was most in love with his Heavenly Father and was grateful to Him for bringing him back to the oceanside, where he lived his final days.

I must go down to the seas again, to the lonely sea and the sky, And all I ask is a tall ship and a star to steer her by; And the wheel’s kick and the wind’s song and the white sail’s shaking, And a grey mist on the sea’s face, and a grey dawn breaking.” Love you Daddy.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning, The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us.
