Clifford Ray Atkins age 77 passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 5, 2020 at his residence in Rockport Texas. Born on April 4, 1942 in Plainview Texas to Kara and Cordie Atkins. Clifford worked as a Scale Technician for many years, he also served as a volunteer fire firefighter and had a passion for flying. He found more joy in making people laugh by his jokes and calling there bluff in a good poker game or just pulling his finger. Clifford was known for many names aka: Pops, PawPaw, but will forever be Daddy to us.

Clifford is preceded in death by  his wife of 32 years, Mary Louise Bailey, his parents Kara and Cordie Atkins and his brother Don Atkins.


Clifford is survived by his children, Rhonda Buchhorn and husband Glenn Buchhorn Jr. of San Antonio, Melissa Hemby and husband James Hemby Jr. of Rockport Texas, Steven Atkins and wife Michelle Atkins of Norfolk VA, Ashley Clubb and husband Andy Clubb of Rockport Texas; Brothers, James Atkins of Plainview and LC Atkins of Hurst Texas. Clifford loved his grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with each and everyone of them; Grandchildren: Jennifer (Buchhorn) Cheng, Tiffany (Buchhorn) McCrayer, Ethan Buchhorn, Brittany Hemby, Brandon Hemby, Bryan Hemby, Bradley Hemby, Bryce Atkins, Chase Atkins, Dalton Atkins, Avery Atkins, Jennifer Atkins, Steven Atkins Jr, Devon Atkins, Jaeden Atkins, Austin Watson,  Madison Clubb, Reece Clubb,and Blake Clubb; Great Grandchildren: Hunter Hemby, Hayden Foster, Taylor Hemby, Bryan K. Hemby, Jr., Braxton Hemby, Athena Cheng, Victoria Cheng, Annalisa McCrayer and Cheyann Hemby; Numerous Nephews and nieces and extended family and friends.
