Chris Pahany, 48, of Rockport, passed away July 22, 2020, in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Chris was born November 10, 1971, in Dallas, Texas, to Arpad and Kay Pahany. He graduated from Rockport-Fulton High School in 1989. He continued on to the University of Texas at Austin on an ROTC scholarship and graduated in 1994 with a BBA in Finance. He entered active-duty service and proudly served as an ordnance officer in the United States Army in Heidelberg, Germany, until his honorable discharge in 1998 as a 1st Lieutenant.
Chris spent the next 22 years working in finance in the oil & gas and energy industries.
Chris was a lifelong hunter and fisherman, starting from his time as guide at Port Bay Hunting Club during high school. He especially enjoyed spending time with his two sons and his new granddaughter.
Chris was preceded in death by his grandparents, Laszlo and Ibolya Pahany, and Uell and Mildred Carter. He is survived by his wife, Janet; two sons, Nathan (Breanna) of Midland, TX, and Caleb Pahany of Rockport, TX; a granddaughter, Teagan Pahany of Midland, TX; his parents, Arpad Pahany of La Ward, TX, and Kay Pahany of Rockport, TX; a brother, Alexander Pahany of Houston, TX; an aunt, Dava Carter of Amarillo, TX; and a cousin, Clint Carter of Belfield, ND.
