Cecilia Hollaway

Cecilia Marie Nethery Hollaway passed away peacefully on May 22, 2020, at the age of 76. She was born May 12, 1944, in Topeka, Kansas to Glenn Nethery and Lucille Breight Nethery, and spent her childhood and young adult life living in Gonzalez, Texas.

In 1963, she married Joseph (Joe) Hollaway and began their lifelong adventure raising their family in Plano, Texas. They had four children; three daughters and a son. For many years, Cecilia was an Insurance Adjustor, but her real passion was for taking care of her family and spreading her creative wings with home decor. She was warm, loving, and enveloped everyone in her arms with the gift of making everyone a part of her family. Not only did her family give her great joy but also her beloved dog, Storm.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, her brothers James Glenn Nethery, Doyle Van Nethery, and Clinton Edward Nethery, and by her husband of 55 years. She leaves behind her loving family that will miss her until the day her family can be reunited. Cecelia is survived by her children: daughters Paula Hollaway Toker, Sharon Hollaway, Jodie Hollaway Hyson, her son, Mark Hollaway, her son-in-law James Hyson, Jr., her grandchildren, Brittany Hyson, Matthew Hyson, Nicole Hyson, Max Toker, and Leo Toker, and her sister Jennifer Nethery Ellison.

The family will be holding a private service in Rockport, Texas celebrate her wonderful life.
