Billy Bell

Billy J. Bell “Bill”, age 91, of Lamar, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Saturday October 3, 2020.  He was born in Tyler, Texas and is preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Donnie Bell; brother, Clyde M. Bell; son, Joseph A. Bell.

He graduated from Tyler Highschool and afterwards joined the military.  Bill served in the US Army at Brooke Army Medical Center, and spent three years in Korea as a medic.  He retired from Jet Research, Fort Worth, Texas.

Bill is survived by his devoted wife of 71 years, Ruby Bell; daughter, Susie Washington (Larry); granddaughter, Jessica; grandsons, Brian (Katie); Russ (Katie); Eric (Jackie); and six great-grandchildren.

Graveside service will be conducted by Johnny Melton at Lamar Cemetery on Wednesday, October 7, 2020, at 1:00 p.m.
