Barbara “Jeanie” Jean Rutledge passed away August 1, 2022 in Corpus Christi, Texas with her loving daughter by her side. She was born September 25, 1947 in Aransas Pass, Texas to Lyle and Frieda Diederich.
Jeanie was one of the original people that opened Live Oak State Bank which is currently Prosperity State Bank. She then went to work for Knostman and Associates for over 15 years, a job she dearly loved. Her next and last endeavor was working at the Rockport County Club as the comptroller where she then retired from.
Jeanie was a one-of-a-kind lady, and she was loved by all who knew her. She always had a smile on her face and love in heart. She loved to play golf, gardening, and she loved to travel.
She is preceded in death by her parents; Lyle and Frieda Diederich, and the love of her life John Neumann.
She is survived by her daughter, Gail Schuller (Mike); brother, Fred Diederich (Sally); grandsons, Michael Garrett all of Rockport, Texas; Cody Guentzel of Temple, Texas; Brandon Guentzel (Des) of Rockport, Texas; great=grandchildren, Merci Guentzel of Temple, Texas; Nolan Garrett, Eleanor Garrett, and one on the way, all of Rockport, Texas; many cousins, nieces, nephews, and special friends.
Visitation will be held Monday, August 8, 2022 from 10:00 am until 8:00 pm with the family being present from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in Rockport, Texas. Her funeral service will be Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at 10:00 am at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in Rockport, Texas. Burial will follow at the Rockport Cemetery.
