Zakary Kleinhans

October 31, 1979 — March 29, 2024

Zakary Allan Kleinhans entered this world on October 31st, 1979, a Halloween treat to his delighted parents David and Susan Kleinhans. Zak went to sleep at his home in Port Aransas on March 28th and woke up in his new heavenly home on March 29th, 2024.

The son and lifelong best friend of a gypsy football coach, Zak attended several schools throughout Texas. His high school career included Clifton before he graduated from Odem. Upon graduation, Zak chose to spend the next chapter of his life in the Air Force. It was during this time that Zak was married to Mikela Bowers and was blessed with Trinity Love. Later, he was married to Ginny Foltz and was blessed with David Deville and Jillyan Diane. His children are his living legacy left to us.

The beach and family drew him back to Port Aransas where he has lived for many years participating in various occupations. His outgoing charismatic personality made him the life of the party and a dear friend to many. Friends and family could anticipate spontaneous texts, bear hugs, and words of love from this kind human. Although Zak survived many turbulent storms that threatened to drown him, he discovered that when life gives you waves, you learn to surf. Once Zak matured a bit, his heart was captured by his fiancé, Amy Winger, who lovingly held it until his dying day. He never held a grudge or talked badly about anyone. Rest assured, if you hurt or wronged Zak, you are forgiven. That charming smile got him in and out of trouble on more than one occasion. This man danced with joy. If you're reading this, you were one of the fortunate ones pulled into his orbit and who found yourself dancing to his tune!

Lessons learned from Zak: Life can be short. Tell your people you love them. Forgive. Surf through the storm. Enjoy life's dance. Know where you want to wake up forever. See you soon Zak.
