William Jones

William (Bill) Lane Jones passed away April 7, 2022. He was born November 19, 1929, in Ozark, Arkansas where he lived till his teens before moving to San Diego, California. By 18 he joined the U.S Air Force while stationed in London, England he met and married Margaret Rose and had daughters Vivian and Arlene. They later moved to the United States, He began his career at Nasa in Houston, Texas in the Mid 60’s. He was very proud of being part of the First man to walk on the Moon. By the Mid 80’s he retired and moved to Corpus Christi, Texas to be by family. Bill and Margaret started traveling, their favorite places were parts of California where family lived especially San Diego and Borrego Springs, California.

He had a green thumb and was passionate about his flowers and took many photos of them. He loved animals especially in his later years his dog Vixson (his boy). He did news paper Crossword Puzzles for years and loved his computer hearts game. He loved Music and Dancing. Finding a good deal always made him happy. He loved good food, especially desserts.

His greatest love was his wife Margaret and to know he is now reunited with her gives our family great comfort.

He is survived by daughters, Vivian Lane of Morro Bay, California, Arlene Ward (Bruce) of Rockport,Tx; Grandchildren, Sonya Gazzola (Gabe) of Haleiwa, Hawaii; Jeremy Cortez (Christel) of Annaville,Tx; Crissha Davis of Orange Grove, Tx; great grandchildren, Kira, Nikoa, Dillon, Montgomery, Jack, Gracie and Gus; brother Bobby Jones (Jane) of San Diego, California; sister, Janet Whiting (Tom) of San Diego, California.

He is Preceded in death by Margaret Rose Jones.

Special thanks to Trinity Shores (Lighthouse) of Port Lavaca, Tx Where Bill lived his last four years. Thank you for your care, Unconditional Love and Friendship. You will always be a special memory to us all.
