Obituary for William Harold Cook III

William Harold Cook III, Bill or Billy to his friends and family, was born on August 7,1956 and died on March 7,2024 after a long and Courageous battle with Cancer. He grew up in Wenonah, New Jersey, where he graduated from Gateway Regional High in 1974. A natural athlete, he participated in many sports throughout his youth from Swimming and Diving to Football and Soccer, He married the love of his life and high school sweetheart, Donna Johanna Marks, in 1975.

Bill used his training in Auto Mechanics to work his way up the employment ladder with many companies and topped his work career at Flint Hills and retired in 2022. He loved to travel, hike trails, ski and he and Donna traveled around the United States and Alaska on their bucket list adventures of the Great National Parks of which they completed 41.

He was a soccer coach and motivated Krystina, Kevin and an amazing group of girls thru the years. But his real love was the many cars he had thru the years with the favorite being the 1968 Chevelle. He was happiest in his car garage and loved to work on classic cars, restoring several for himself and friends.

He is preceded in death by his Father, William Harold Cook II and Mother Anne Stevenson Cook. He is survived by his wife of 49 years Donna Cook; their daughter Krystina Cook, her partner Bryan Harper, and her children Skylar and Shae; and their son Kevin Allen Cook. He is also survived by his sisters Barbara Anne Cook, Shirley (Alan)
Dickey and Susan (Hugh) Wayne and their children; and his "Brother in Spirit" Carl Asher.

A special thanks to the caring staff at Harbor Hospice, Portland, for the loving care that he was given during his difficult time.

In Lieu of church services, his Car Show Friends are Honoring Bill with a Memorial Classic Car Show on March 30th at the Nueces Brewery from 11:30 -3:00 where several
