Walter Kandra

Walter N. Kandra, 80, of Port Aransas, passed away on Monday, January 1, 2018, at his home in Port Aransas.

Walter was born on September 16, 1937 in Shamokin, Pennsylvania to Steven and Helen Kandra. He served his country in the U.S. Navy, once stationed in Corpus Christi. He had been a self-employed contractor most of his life.

Walter is survived by his wife, Beverly Kandra; daughter, Karin Peterson; son, Robert Kandra; daughter, Sharon Brown (Rodney); grandchildren, Brook Fielden (Cole); Travis Kandra; Quinn Kandra; Ashley Brown; and Lindsey Brown.

Walter was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Shelby Kandra; son, Walter J. Kandra; and his parents Steven and Helen Kandra.

Family and friends joined in a Celebration of Walter's Life on Saturday, January 6 at his favorite restaurant, Lisabella's in Port Aransas.
