In Loving Memory of Vivian Eillen Beck

Vivian Eillen Beck, born on December 17, 1936, in Tivoli, Texas, to Alton and Opal Pruitt, peacefully passed away on December 29, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alton Joel Pruitt and Opal Victoria Barnett, her first husband David Magulin, her sons Darwin, Kent, and Marlin Maguglin, as well as her brothers Thomas Pruitt and Wayne Pruitt and daughter-in-law Katie Ringer.

Vivian is survived by her devoted husband, David Beck, and her loving sisters Irene Robinson, Neda Cox, and sister-in-laws Lois Roth and Jenice Pruitt. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law Amy Maguglin, her sons Michael and wife Trisha, Mark and wife Dina, David Beck, and her daughters LeAnn and husband Steve, and Monica Beck.

Vivian's legacy extends to her grandchildren Bradley D. Verhelst, Said and Julia Morales, Dylan, Addison, Kaliann, Jacob, and Joshua, as well as her great-grandson James Verhelst. She leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews - whom she adored and they adored her; and her "adopted" daughter, Tracy Hudsbeth.

Vivian's life was a testament to her unwavering faith in Jesus Christ. Her love for her family was boundless, and her passion for music was a cornerstone of her life. For many years, Vivian dedicated her musical talents to playing the piano at her church, where her love for music was shared with many. Her harmonious melodies filled the hearts of those around her, creating lasting memories and bringing joy to countless lives. In the midst of our grief, let us remember Vivian as a woman whose life exemplified faith, love, forgiveness, and a profound appreciation for the beauty of music. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, compassion, and a melody that will forever echo in our hearts.


A viewing will be held on Thursday, January 4th from 5 to 7pm at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in Aransas Pass. The funeral service to celebrate Vivian's life will be held on Friday at 10am at the Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in Aransas Pass. There will be a memorial luncheon following graveside service at Bethel Baptist Church, 2248 Morgan Lane in Ingleside. We are thankful she is in Glory.
