Virginia Morgan, a vibrant spirit who embraced life to the fullest, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2026, at the age of 88. Born on July 18, 1938, in San Antonio, Texas, Virginia spent her early years in the heart of Texas before embarking on adventures that took her around the country. She cherished her roots but found solace in the travels that brought her closer to family and friends.
On August 18, 1955, Virginia married the love of her life, Jimmie Ray Morgan, and together they built a warm and loving home. Virginia was, above all, a devoted wife and mother. Her passion for creativity shined through as she lovingly made children’s clothes, bringing joy to her family. Virginia had a zest for life, which was evident in her many interests. Whether she was bowling strikes, trying her luck at the casino, exploring new destinations on cruises, or enjoying days spent fishing, she lived each moment with enthusiasm. Her culinary favorites—shrimp, ribeye, steak, and cheesecake—were often shared with family around the dinner table, where laughter and stories flowed freely. Virginia's love for her grandchildren was immeasurable. She filled their lives with warmth and wisdom, regaling them with family tales that will echo through the generations.

 She is survived by her son, Darrell (MaryAnn) Morgan of Ingleside, TX; daughter-in-law Masonya Morgan of Aransas County, TX; and her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her family includes Valencia (Terry) Moore of Aransas Pass, TX; Jimmie R. Morgan Jr. of New Iberia, LA; and 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren who will hold onto her memory with loving hearts. Virginia is welcomed into eternal rest by her parents, SM Rhodes of Marlow, OK; and Edna Luchelli of San Antonio, TX; her cherished husband, Jimmie R. Morgan of Ingleside, TX; beloved son Dewayne L. Morgan of Aransas County, TX; and grandsons Marty Moore of League City, TX: and DJ Morgan of Ingleside, TX; who will undoubtedly greet her with open arms. A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. with a service starting at 11:00 a.m. at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in Aransas Pass, TX with burial to follow at a later date.
