In Loving Memory of Tyler Wayne Bishop Hardy

With deepest sorrow, we share that Tyler Wayne Bishop Hardy passed away at the young age of 33. To know Tyler was to love him. He was magnetic, one of a kind, and utterly unforgettable.

Tyler was an unbelievably dynamic, multifaceted soul. He was layered with gifts and talents that could never be summed up in a single word. He was a blue-collar man with the spirit of an artist. By day, he could replace your car's timing belt with ease and metal work you a custom sign, and by night, he might be found listening to jazz, practicing calligraphy, or strumming melodies on a guitar he built himself. Entirely self-taught, he could play nearly any instrument by ear, but the guitar was his favorite.

Tyler’s passions were vast and unpretentious. He had endless curiosity and confidence and charisma that found him constantly connecting with strangers. His heart was always oriented toward others, especially those who needed help or understanding.

He is survived by his loving mother, Jan Bishop Andel; his grandfather, Cleo Hardy; his siblings Amy Hooker, Nathan Hennessey, Kerri Ward, and Jennifer Valenza; his nieces and nephews Danielle Hooker, Zaniya Hooker, Lorenzo Hooker III, and Emma Ward; his stepchildren Troy Chavarria, Trey Chavarria, and Colin Escobar; his loving partner, Lawrene Harris; his aunts and uncles Crystal and Mark Fernando and Curtis and Christie Hardy; and his stepbrother, Anthony Andel.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Bishop; his stepfather, Doug Andel; and his grandmother, Jerene Hardy.

Though his time with us was far too short, Tyler’s impact was deep and wide. He leaves behind a legacy of love, interests, music, compassion, and creativity. We will carry his smile, his laughter, and his light in our hearts forever.

A celebration of Tyler’s life will be held Saturday May 31st at 2pm at the Charlie Marshall Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages acts of kindness in Tyler’s honor. Smile at a stranger, help someone in need, or tell a passerby to have a nice day. That’s what he would have done.
