With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Tien Hoang, who left this world on March 3, 2026, at the age of 82. Born on December 14, 1943, in Vietnam, Tien spent her formative years in the beautiful coastal town of Rockport, Texas. She was married to her beloved husband, Tri N. Hoang, who preceded her in death. Together, they cultivated a loving family, and Tien's nurturing spirit will be cherished by all who knew her.
A woman of varied passions, Tien took great joy in sewing, gardening, cooking, and singing at church. Her love for travel filled her heart with unforgettable memories shared with family and friends. Tien's kindness, support, and authoritative presence were the cornerstone of her family, as she guided her children with unwavering compassion.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Trang Kelsey, along with her other beloved children: Thuy Hoang, Thao Terrazas, and John Hoang. Tien was a devoted grandmother to grandchildren Holly Yates, Jake Hoang, Julie Hoang, Sang Hoang, Sean Hoang, Nicholas Ngo, Lilly Ngo, and Kaitlyn Ngo. Her legacy will also live on through her great-grandchildren: Jayden Kelsey, Alayna Kelsey, and Evelyn R. Owers. Tien will be remembered for her joyful spirit and the warmth she brought to our lives. A visitation will be held on Friday, March 20, 2026 from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. with a rosary to follow. A Mass will be held in her honor on March 21, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peters Catholic Church. Following the Mass, Tien will be laid to rest in at Aransas Memorial
