Thomas Peter Oseland of Rockport, Texas passed away September 22, 2026 in Corpus Christi, Texas at the age of 88.

Tom was born March 19, 1938 in Superior, Wisconsin to Luther A. and Mildred V. Oseland.

He grew up and attended schools in Superior, Wi. and Duluth, MN. He served in the US Army from 1961-1963, stationed in Germany. After his Army he worked on the Great Lakes ore carriers then moved to Biwabik, Mn.

Tom worked for Minnesota Power and Light from 1967-1995 at the Syl Laskin Energy Center in Hoyt Lakes, Mn. He was a member of Union Local #31 Electrical Workers AFL/CIO.

In 1990 he married Lillian Kuitunen Mann, living in Hoyt Lakes, Mn. After retiring in 1995 they would winter in Rockport, Tx. In 2005 they built a house in Rockport, Tx. and moved there permanently. Tom and Lillian were members of the Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Rockport for many years.

Tom is survived by his son Peter (Christina) of Austin, Mn. Granddaughter Amber Shambolt, step granddaughter Heidi Meher and great grand children.

Tom was preceeded in death by his wife Lillian, his parents, brother Lowell, sisters JoAnn Wood, Mary Mularie, Elizabeth Shain, a sister-in-law, 4 brother-in-laws, daughter-in-law Angela Mann Gerry and son-in-law Joeseph Mann.

Tom has chosen no funeral services. Entombment of his cremains will be in the columbarium at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Rockport, Texas.
