Terrance (Terry) Edward Defalco, age 84, of Rockport, Texas, passed away peacefully on December 29, 2025. Born on December 14, 1941, in Ottawa, Canada, Terry moved to Texas at the age of 19, where he would go on to build a loving family and a life rich in experiences.
Terry proudly served in the United States Army, embodying the spirit of dedication and service. After his military service, he settled in Houston, Texas, where he raised his beloved daughters, Elizabeth and Gina. Upon his wife Patricia's retirement, they relocated to the serene shores of Rockport, where they enjoyed their golden years together.
Terry had an unwavering passion for family, which was evident in every aspect of his life. He was a gifted cook, delighting in preparing meals for gatherings big and small, including countless school functions for his daughters. Fishing was the love of his life—he not only enjoyed the quiet moments by the water but also took great joy in teaching children the art of fishing, imparting "Terry" life lessons along with fishing tips. His famous crawfish boils were legendary, having started long before they became a trend, and included memorable moments such as sharing a bucket of crawfish with family in Montreal. He often could be found hunting for crawfish in flooded parks and fields to share them with the neighbors, strengthening the bonds of community.
Terry is preceded in death by his parents, Francesco and Gertrude Defalco, and his brothers, Steve, Frank, Martin, and Denis Defalco, along with sisters Mary and Connie Defalco. He is survived by his devoted wife, Patricia Defalco; daughters, Elizabeth Wilson and Gina Parrish (Chris); brother, Ronald Defalco; sister, Elizabeth Defalco; grandchildren, Morgan Healy (Hank), Regan Healy (Coulter), Sarah Hightower (Zach), Delaine Wilson, Gabriel Hightower, Spencer Wilson (Alyssa), and Katie Pierce (Sam); as well as his great-grandchildren, Weston Compton and Eloise Pierce.
A memorial service to celebrate Terry’s life will be held on January 24, 2026, at 2 PM, followed by a visitation and reception from 3 to 6 PM at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in Rockport. Terry's spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him, and his stories will be shared for generations to come.
