Stan Goldstein left us on May 20th, 2025. Born in Riverhead, New York in 1931, and later moving to Dallas, Austin, and Rockport, he lived 94 years of a full and colorful life always to the fullest. He was funny, very creative, a prankster, provider, and a super hard working business man. As a lover of boats and water, throughout his lifetime he had 20 something boats, the first on Lake Texoma named "Chicken of the Sea", and the last in Rockport named "The last Hurrah". He served in the Air Force, was stationed in Nova Scotia
and also worked in the pentagon. After the service he had careers in Advertising, Real Estate partnerships, and manufacturing.
If you knew him, you know his favorite pastime was having a few cocktails, cooking, shooting the BS and hanging out on the boat with friends.
When he wasn't hanging out with friends, he was busy building something. A self made master,
he could pretty much build anything, whether it was furniture or a carport, all just by eye. He was incredibly talented and could learn anything.... Except the computer and phone.
He was preceded in death by his wife Nancy, his parents, brother, and his most faithful, beloved companion in his later years, his dog, Rudy. He will be sorely missed by his survivors - Daughters, Lisa and Leslie, son, Mark ( Kimberly) His ex wife Gail, who even though they had been divorced for 50 years, still talked on the phone every morning, Grandchildren who knew him as the one and only GRANDSTAN - Adam, Nathalie (Zach), Nethanel, Taylor, Sarah, and Zack, and three great grandchildren Craig, as he called him - his ex son outlaw, And also survived by all his deck buddies who hung out on his deck and talked some serious BS.
A very special thanks to Tommy, Drey, Bunny and other caregivers who added so much love and care to his last days on this earth. He loved you guys so much and we couldn't have done it without you! A memorial will be held in the near future.
In his later years he gave to many, many charities. If you would like to donate in honor of his life, please pick your favorite charity.
