Scott Bibeau, born August 13, 1955, ran out of luck on September 22, 2021, when he lost his valiant six week battle with Covid.
Most people knew Scott in one of three ways: eating at his restaurant, Bibeau's Soup-er Bowl; playing golf with him at River Hills Country Club; or listening to him play music with the band Tumbleweed.
However you knew Scott, you had to love him because he was that kind of guy. He was always happy, always ready to make you a taquito or burger, ready to out-drive you on the golf course, or play you a tune on the piano. His mantra was "do the right thing." He loved his family, doted on his wife, and was a loyal and loving friend. He loved his life, especially after retiring to Rockport. There he found an additional circle of friends and golf buddies at Rockport Country Club, and with his new band, Steel Water Band.
Scott's parents, Gloria Watson Bibeau and Donald Bibeau, predeceased him. He is survived by his loving wife, Lisa, his brothers Dan (Essie) and Wayne (Sharon) Bibeau, his brother-in-law, Andrew (Leigh) Sheinberg, many other close family members and a host of friends.
His Celebration of Life will begin at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in Rockport, TX, Thursday, September 30, at 3:00 p.m., and will continue at the Rockport Country Club, from 5:00-7:00 p.m., with the Steel Water Band playing.
