Sandra Starr Denton (Tyler)
Sandra Starr Denton, a resident of Taft, TX, passed away on May 7, 2023, at the age of 75 after a long illness. She was born on September 25, 1947, in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Sandra was preceded in death by her grandmother and grandfather, Martha and Archie Blanscet, as well as her mother, Bettye Blanscet.
Sandra was a graduate of Ingleside High School and spent most of her life in the Ingleside, Aransas Pass, and Rockport areas, where she made many lifelong friends and many memories. For several years during the mid to late 1980’s Sandra lived in South Carolina where she became a born-again Christian and made several positive life changes, in which she was very proud. In 1998 Sandra moved to Taft where she remained until her passing. Sandra was a sweet and fun-loving person who liked to have a good time and never knew a stranger. Her smile and laugh were infectious. Sandra loved being a grandmother and cherished any time she could spend with any of her 10 grandchildren or 5 great-grandchildren. Her other great love was for animals, especially her long-time companion Rowdy (RIP). Those who knew and loved her, including her friends and family, have fond memories of her and will miss her dearly.
Sandra is survived by her children Tammy Pace Schaeffer of Plano, Tonia Pace Martinets (Bret) of Blanco, Tara Pace Turnbull of Corpus Christi, and Troy Shull (Jo Ann) of Florida, her sister, Sherry Witt of Mont Belvieu, TX, and niece Donia Erickson (Eddie) of Mont Belvieu, TX, ten grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
