Ruth Ryles, 90, went home to be with the Lord on December 7, 2022. Ruth was born on October 7, 1932, to parents Russell and Faye Wells in Okmulgee, Oklahoma.  She was married to Richard Eugene Duncan Sr. (father of her three beautiful children) and to Donald Lee Ryles. She was a member of New Testament Church in Ingleside and had a passion for travel, family, friends, the Painted Churches, and the joy of hummingbirds.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her first loving husband - Richard Eugene Duncan Sr., and further preceded by her second loving husband, Donald Lee Ryles, sister, Patsy Miller, stepson, Donald (Bubba) Ryles II, and daughter, Margaret (Penny) Vance.

Left to cherish Ruth’s memory are her daughter, Linda Reiter, her son, Richard Duncan Jr. (Erin), her son-in-law, Billy Vance, her grandchildren, Billy Vance, Jr., Eva Edler, Melissa Anzaldua, Jeremy Reiter, Richard Duncan III, Joshua Duncan, Cale Duncan, and Stephen (Alex) Duncan, 20 great grandchildren, numerous great great grandchildren and many friends.

Ruth was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She loved her family without question. She was a true demonstrator of unconditional love just as Jesus has shown us. She was a joy to all who knew her.

A celebration of Ruth’s life will be held at 4:00 p.m., December 11, 2022, at New Testament Church in Ingleside, Texas.
