Rosie Garza

August 22, 1962 — February 24, 2026

Rockport, TX

With heavy hearts and deep love, we announce the passing of our beloved Rosie Garza, who left this world peacefully on February 24, 2026 at the age of 63. She was born August 22, 1962, in Edinburg, Texas to Cristobal and Dominga Garza.

She is preceded in death by her half brothers, Perfecto "Pate" Garza and Pablo A. Garza Sr.; half sisters, Juanita Ramos and Delfina M. Garza of Rockport Tx. Josephina Paiz of Aransas Pass Tx.

Left to cherish her memories are her half sisters, Ida Moreno (Joe), Anita Dominguez (Richard) both of Rockport Tx. and Thelma Deleon (Severo) of Pharr Texas; Rosita Martinez (Richard) of Pearland Texas ; her half brothers Amado Rios and Arnold Rios both of Rockport Texas.

From the very beginning, she carried within her a strength and light that would go on to touch countless lives.

Rosie leaves behind a legacy of love through her daughter, Stacy Garza of Rockport Tx. She will forever live on in the hearts of her cherished grandchildren, Malorie Garcia (Eric Mireles) and Matthew Garcia Jr. (Nathalie Martinez), in the bright smile of her precious great-grandson, Matthew Micah Garcia III . She is also lovingly remembered by her beloved partner of 19 years, Sylvia Michael, who stood by her side in unwavering love and companionship through every step she took. Rosie leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who were blessed to know her.

Rosie was the true definition of a hardworking woman. She carried a spirit of determination and resilience, never afraid of life’s challenges and never holding enemies in her heart. She gave her time generously—whether it was painting outside under the warm Texas sun, tending to her yard with pride, or lovingly caring for her eight cherished fur babies. Her home was a reflection of who she was: vibrant, warm, welcoming, and filled with life.

She found pure joy in the simple, beautiful moments—keeping her yard just right, dancing freely to every song that played, laughing without hesitation, and most of all, gathering her family close. Family was her greatest treasure. Nothing meant more to her than seeing her loved ones together, smiling and safe.

Rosie will be remembered as a loving and devoted partner, an extraordinary mother, a proud grandmother and great-grandmother, a caring sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and a friend to all. She had a heart that knew no limits—big, beautiful, and endlessly giving. Her radiant spirit and infectious smile could light up any room. The warmth she carried within her, embraced everyone she met, and her kindness left lasting marks on every soul fortunate enough to cross her path.

Though our hearts ache in her absence, we find comfort knowing her love surrounds us still. Her laughter echoes in our memories, her lessons live on in our lives, and her spirit dances on in every song we hear.

She was deeply loved. She will be profoundly missed. And she will be forever cherished.
