Rosa Rodriguez

Rosa Castillo Rodriguez, age 79, passed away peacefully on May 31, 2017. Rosa was born on August 28, 1937 in Harlingen, Texas to Jesusa and Juan Castillo. Our Mom was a sweet, loving and compassionate woman.

She is preceded in death by her son, Guadalupe "Lupio" Rodriguez, her mother, Jesusa Castillo, her brother, Israel "Palato" Castillo and granddaughter, Felicia Faye Villarreal.

She is survived by her four children, Catarino Rodriguez, Jr. (Mary Alice), Esmeralda Villarreal (Santana Roel), Bruno Rodriguez, Naomi Burris (Don); one sister, Emilia Gonzales (Luis); nine grandchildren, Santana Roel Villarreal, Jr. (Lailah), Casandra Mastrangelo (Frank), Catarino Rodriguez III (Maura), Bethany Rodriguez, Jessica Buchanan, Israel Rodriguez, Kimberly Rodriguez, Destiny Rodriguez, Layla Rodriguez; ten great-grandchildren, Ethan Villarreal, Aliyah Villarreal, Keirah Villarreal, Sidney Mastrangelo, Townes Mastrangelo, Bo Mastrangelo, Shayna McMichael, L.J. McMichael, Chevy Buchanan, Roger Buchanan, and one on the way; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 9am-9pm Saturday, June 3, 2017 and Sunday, June 4, 2017 from 9am-9pm with Holy Rosary recited at 7pm all at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home. Mass will be celebrated at 10am Monday, June 5, 2017 at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Gregory Cemetery.
