Robert (Popo Loco) Lopez had a lifelong career as a Commercial Fisherman. It was known he was a Captain, not a deckhand. Popo had a love for shrimping, the Broncos, telling jokes & music by Elvis Presley & Johnny Cash. You could never convince him he lacked vocal talent, or he wasn’t the funniest man in the room. Popo moved at one speed & pace, his own. He was an amazing cook. Robert was loving, patient & kind with a character and heart unmatched by any other. Popo loved the life he lived. He had unmeasurable love for the countless family he was born into & created and an indescribable love for his grandchildren

Preceded in death by: 1st Love, Mary Grace Lopez; Father, Guadalupe Lopez; Mother, Juanita Lopez; Son, Ray Tijerina; Brothers, Abel Lopez, Manuel Lopez, Juan Lopez & Frank Lopez, Sr.; Sister, Margaret Lopez; grandson, Stephen Tijerina.

Survived by: 2nd Love of his life, his Wife, Lydia Lopez; Sons; Roberto Lopez Jr, Victor Lopez (Jataun), Johnny Lopez, Jason Lopez (Sylvia), Guady Lopez (Andrea); Daughters, Anna Marburger (Jay), Linda Lou Lopez, Velma Barajas (Jorge), Sally Tijerina (Troy), Rachel Tijerina (Walter), Connie Tijerina (Leo); Sisters; Beatrice Rinche, Josie Tomayo & Mary Jane Toguchi; Brothers; Henry Lopez(Emma), Ralph Lopez, Benito Lopez,37 Grandkids and 38 Great Grandkids, many nieces and nephews, cousins and family.

Visitation will be held from 11:00a.m.-9:00p.m. with Rosary recited at 7:00p.m. Thursday, February 10, 2022 at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home, Aransas Pass, Texas. Funeral Mass conducted by Father Emilio Jimenez will begin at 10:00a.m. Friday, February 11, 2022 St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church, Aransas Pass Texas. Burial will follow at Prairie View Cemetery in Aransas Pass, Texas.
