Roberto M. Barrera, Sr., 67 passed away January 2, 2018. He was born March 11, 1950 in Taft, Texas to Juan and Victoria Medrano Barrera.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mickey Barrera; son, Michael Barrera.
He is survived by his sons, Robert M. Barrera, Jr. of Houston, Adam M. Barrera (Jodi) of Spring, Tommy A. Barrera (Morgan) of Rockport, Pete Gomez (Erica) of Victoria; daughters, Terrie Barrera of Rockport, Jennifer Scholz (Chad) of Houston; brothers, Joe Barrera (Gloria) of Rockport, John Barrera and Pete Barrera (Lizzie) of San Antonio, Martin Barrera and Tony Barrera (Catherine) of Rockport; sisters, Connie Villegas of New Braunfels, Janie Sanchez (Domingo) of Rockport; 13 grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 12:00p.m.-9:00p.m. with a Holy Rosary recited at 7:00p.m. Friday, January 5, 2018 at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home, Aransas Pass. Mass will be celebrated at 10:00a.m. Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Rockport Cemetery.
