Robert C. Upton

Robert C. Upton, 82, of Aransas Pass, passed away February 9, 2026.

He was born in Corpus Christi on September 3,1943.

Robert graduated from Aransas Pass High School and attended Delmar College prior to enlisting in the U.S. Army.

He was married to Penny Bob Speer on April 5, 1970.

Robert served as a Chief Warrant Officer in the U.S. Army where he flew Cobra Helicopters in Vietnam. After the Army, he went on to own multiple businesses and had a successful career as an independent truck driver.

He was an Elder at the First Christian Church in Aransas Pass.

Robert was an avid bowler and competed as a professional for years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruby Lois and JR Upton, his sister Sherry Konvicka and brother Michael Upton.

He is survived by his wife Penny Upton and son Kelly Upton, brothers Chris Upton, Mark Upton, David Upton (Molly) and several nieces and nephews.

Viewing will be from 3:00pm to 6:00pm, February 20, 2026, at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home Aransas Pass.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am, February 21,2026, at the First Christian Church of Aransas Pass with burial to follow at Prairie View Cemetery.
