Robert Locke

Robert A. "Star" Locke of Port Aransas died April 16, 2025 after a battle with various cancers. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elma and Col. Norval Locke, and his brother, Norval Locke, Jr. He is survived by sister, La Rue Hogate of lola, Texas, and his son John Locke. As an adult, he was received into the Catholic Church, and he knew he was blessed by his Savior Jesus Christ.

As the son of a military father, Robert and his siblings grew up in Japan during WWll; he graduated high school in Paris, France. He attended the University of Oklahoma where he played football and studied political science. As a proud American, Robert joined the Army his second year at OU. After the Army, Robert continued his wanderings in Texas and Mexico; he was a contractor and owned his own construction company. Despite the hardship of his illness in his later life, he continued his desire to help Veterans and people in his community

Star touched the lives of many people during his 85 years. May he rest eternally with his Savior Jesus Christ.

Graveside services will be held 10 am Friday May 23, 2025 at Royal Palm Cemetery in Port Aransas , Texas with Rev. George Johnson officiating
