Richard and Doris Lassiter

Rockport, Texas 

Richard William Lassiter, 83, of Rockport, Texas passed away August 14, 2023. He was born in Rockport on May 10, 1940. 

Daddy was a Master Mariner and Merchant Marine for Casperry and Wendel. He ran an Oil Company and supply ships to South America.  

Doris Jean Lassiter, 81, of Rockport, Texas, passed away on August 7, 2023. She was born in Alice, Texas, on January 25, 1942. Doris was married to Richard Lassiter on September 1, 1958, for 65 years.  

She was a stay-at-home mother and enjoyed volunteering at the local Nursing home. Doris also loved gardening, crafting, sewing and cooking.  

They are survived by their loving family, daughters, Mary Sue Good, and Misty Deshane Klein; sister, Donna Delora Matlock; brothers, Loyd and Jerry Lassiter; grandchildren, Jason Richard Metheny, Aaron Michael Metheny, Hannah Marie Klein, Emily Elizabeth Klein, and Wesley Garret Good. 

Services will be held for both Richard and Doris Lassiter at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 26, 2023, at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in Rockport.
