Ray Rump

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Ray Roger Rump, age 83, who left this world on April 26, 2026. Ray was born in Johnstown, Pennsylvania on May 28, 1942, and spent his formative years basking in the sun and warmth of Southern California. He married his beloved Doris Brooks in 1968 in Ontario, California, beginning a beautiful journey that would last 47 years. Ray dedicated four years of his life to serving in the United States Air Force, an experience that shaped him into the compassionate and adventurous spirit we all knew and loved. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree, graduating cum laude from La Verne University in 1980, which reflected his commitment to lifelong learning and growth. 

His passions were many, but fishing, reading history, and sailing held a special place in his heart. He delighted in sharing stories of his adventures, inspiring laughter and joy among family and friends. Ray is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Isabell Rump, as well as his brothers, Joe and Tony, and his sister, Christina. He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories, most of all in the heart of his adoring wife, Doris, who will forever cherish the moments they shared. 

Rest easy, Ray. You will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
