Obituary

Priscella Marie Johnsgard was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and the fierce, loving heart of her family.

Born in Eureka, California, Priscella carried with her a lifelong love of nature, the mountain air, open skies, quiet walks, and the small wonders of the world around her. She especially loved hummingbirds, butterflies, and owls, and she often wondered about angels and what it might one day feel like to have wings of her own.

Priscella lived vibrantly. She loved bold colors, especially teal and purple, and like those colors, she was never dull or easily overlooked. She was loving, kind, fiery, scrappy, direct, and wonderfully honest. She loved fiercely, protected those she cared for, and was never afraid to tell you what she thought you needed to hear.

Music brought Priscella great joy. She loved to dance, sing, and listen to music, especially Elvis Presley. She also enjoyed Days of Our Lives, Guiding Light, Home Shopping Network, and QVC, where she often discovered little treasures for her home and family.

Priscella was curious about the world and kept up with the news. A phone call could easily begin with, “Did you hear about this?” followed by a story, a warning, or a bit of unmistakable Priscella advice.

Above all, she cherished her family. She treasured time with her husband, Ron, conversations with her children and loved ones, and family gatherings filled with stories, laughter, and wisdom.

Her love and legacy continue through her husband, Ronald Johnsgard; daughter, Lisa Flirt; son, Blake Johnsgard; brother, Albert Morgan; grandchildren: Alaynna, Athena, Ronald, Priscilla, Kassie, Dani, Cecil, Katrina, Melissa, and DJ; as well as her great-grandchildren, extended family, and loved ones.

Priscella was preceded in death by her beloved son, Bryan Johnsgard; her mother, Catherine Tobin Morgan; and her father, Clifford Albert Morgan.

Priscella was a rare, radiant jewel whose life touched generations. Her voice will live on in the advice remembered, her warmth around family tables, her joy through music, and her spirit in brilliant shades of teal and purple.

Perhaps now she knows what wings feel like.

When a hummingbird hovers nearby, a butterfly crosses our path, an owl calls into the night, or a favorite song begins to play, we will remember her ...Our lighthouse ...Our beacon in the darkness ...A fierce and beautiful light whose love will forever lead us home.

Visitation will begin at 1pm on Sunday, August 30 at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in Aransas Pass, TX. Her funeral service will follow at 2pm.
