Philip Norvell

Philip Andrew Norvell passed March 6, 2018. He was 90 years old. He was born June 30, 1927 in Crane, Texas to Ruben and Lillian Norvell.

Philip proudly served his country in the Merchant Marines and the U.S. Coastguard. For 7 years Philip was a bodyguard, babysitter, chauffeur and constant companion to the stock show and rodeo stars. Philip retired as a detective from the San Antonio Police Department after 25 years of serving the citizens of San Antonio.

He is preceded in death by his siblings, Towanda Barnett, James Robert Norvell, and Carrie Nell Henry.

He is survived by his daughter, Debra Longoria of San Antonio, Texas; brother, Kelly Norvell of Aransas Pass, Texas; very close niece, Karen Henry; very close nephew, Aaron Ausmus; numerous other nieces, and nephews.

Visitation will be held Saturday, March 10, 2018 from 9:00 am - 9:00 pm at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in Aransas Pass, Texas. Burial will be private.
