Philip Adams

Philip Paul Adams, 87 of Rockport, passed away after a bout with various illnesses on Monday, April 3,2023

Phil was born on February 23 1936 to Delores and Paul Adams in the city of Waterford Township Michigan. After graduating from high school, he served in the United States Army and went on to work at General Motors in Pontiac, Michigan. In 1975, Phil moved to Rockport Texas with his wife Thelma, where they founded Adams Nursery. In addition to assisting with the nursery, he was a general foreman at Brown and Root until his retirement in 2012.

Phil was a Texas Certified Nursery Professional. He loved horticulture and spending time with his family.

Phil was predeceased by great-grandson Brady and survived by his wife Thelma Adams. Daughters Belinda Longino, Aimee Adams, Lori Strain and son Philip Adams. Grandchildren Ravyn Greer, Thelma Toombs, Julie Toombs, Terry Adams, Philip Adams, Thomas Sanderson and Jesse Greer. Great-grandchildren Lilian, Samuel, Toriano, Aleigha, Julianna and Lincoln.

Viewing will be held Wednesday April 5, 2023 from 4pm-8pm at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in Rockport, Texas. A gravesite services will be held on Thursday, April 6, 2023 at the Rockport Cemetery.
