Phaedra DeeAnn Hudson Taylor “DeeDee”
Phaedra Taylor, 52, of Ingleside, Texas entered eternal rest on Thursday, August 27, 2021. She was born on July 27, 1969, in Aransas Pass, Texas. She graduated from Ingleside High School in 1987 and then went on to college at Texas A&M Corpus Christi where she earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree. Phaedra married Mark Taylor on November 7, 1998. Phaedra was a lifelong resident of Ingleside, Texas where she and her loving husband raised their two beautiful daughters: Laiken Salinas and Maleia Taylor. She began her counseling career nearly 30 years ago and worked for Ingleside ISD for the past 22 years. Her life passions included cheering on the New Orleans Saints with Laiken, watching Maleia play softball, going to the beach and fishing with Mark at the jetty’s; and going to car races with her father, Tuffy Hudson, VT, and her brother, Lil’ Tuffy.
Phaedra had a special, dedicated love for her dogs, ChiChi and Nova. She was known for being selfless to others and for always being willing to help others in need through acts of unwavering kindness. She was known for lending a helping, loving hand. Her family and friends cherish her humble ways, loving blue eyes, and her contagious laugh.
Phaedra’s connection with Mark, Laiken, and Maleia was undeniable. It is a bond of eternal love and commitment. They are her infinite sunshine, and she is theirs.
She was preceded in death by her Maw Maw, Betty Lou Campbell. Maw Maw was her rock. Her paternal grandparents Betty and Pete West, and Babe LeeRoy Hudson.
She is survived by her loving husband, Mark Taylor, two daughters; Laiken Salinas (Jon Guerrero), of New Braunfels, TX; Maleia Taylor of Ingleside, TX; her father Tuffy Hudson (Vonnie) of Ingleside; her mother Tsianenia Hudson, Portland, TX; her brother Tuffy L. Hudson (Rachael); two nephews, Holden and Christian; niece, Spencer; and countless friends to so many.
