Peter Manning

Peter Manning was a loving, and caring father, brother and son. He passed away suddenly on August 19, 2021 at the age of 49. He is survived by his mom, Peggy Manning; his children, Sarah Boyles and Claudia Manning; his brothers Gilbert Manning and Barney Robertson; his sister Laurel Ellis; grandson Arthur Boyles (pictured with him); and many other family members. He is predeceased by his dad Walter R. Manning, and his brother Walter Manning.

Peter was born on November 10, 1971 to Walter and Peggy Manning. He joined the Marine Corps shortly after graduating high school and on December 24, 1993 and December 19, 1996 welcomed his two daughters into this world. Peter left the Marine Corps after 6 years and joined the Army so that he could stay closer to his children. He retired from his military service after 4 years with the Army so that he could go back home to Rockport to help take care of his father before his passing in 2005.

Peter went back to school and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science in the summer of 2012 from Texas A&M University, and went on to work with ChemMark until his death. Peter enjoyed playing video games by himself or with his children, and watching movies with his family. His favorite thing to do was simply to spend time with his family as much as possible and requested to see his grandson as much as he could.

He will be missed by his family, friends, and coworkers. There will be no funeral service as he did not want one and had requested to be cremated instead of buried.
