Pedro Velazquez, born on October 20, 1934, in Durango, Mexico, peacefully passed away on December 29, 2023.

 

Pedro was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and craftsmanship.

 

Pedro was a skilled carpenter, dedicating his life to his craft. His passion for collecting and refurbishing vintage furniture brought him great joy and allowed him to showcase his incredible talent.

 

Pedro was known for his warm heart and generous spirit. He married the love of his life, Sofia Amaya, and together they spent 16 beautiful years creating a loving and nurturing home for their children. After the passing of his wife Pedro, devoted the rest of his life to care for his children's. Pedro's devotion to his family was unwavering, and he cherished every moment he spent with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

 

Pedro will be dearly missed by his surviving children who shared a special bond with their father. He will be remembered as a loving father, a compassionate grandfather, and a guiding force in the lives of those he touched.

 

The funeral services to honor Pedro's life will be held on January 7, 2024.Viewing will take place at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home-Aransas Pass, starting at 11:00 am. The Rosary will be held at 1:30 pm, with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 pm. The graveside service will be held at Prairie View Cemetery.

Pedro's memory will forever live on in the hearts of his children, Maria Susana (Jose), Rosa Isela (Jorge), Pedro David (Alma), Erica (Eliezer), his cherished grandchildren Alejandra, Jose, Sofia (Esquivel), Jorge Jr., Edward, Aylin (Rodriguez), Sophia, Natalia, Josiah (Velazquez), Brenda, Lesly, David (Gonzalez), Katia (Velez), and his beloved great-grandchildren Ivana (Esquivel), Geraldine (Arenas-Esquivel), Maya and Alani(Gutierrez).

Friends and family are invited to come together to celebrate Pedro's remarkable life and bid him a heartfelt farewell. His memory will forever be etched in our hearts, and his legacy will continue to inspire us all.

Rest in peace, Pedro Velazquez. Your love and light will forever shine upon us.
